![]() ![]() Plexdrive/Plexguide (still not sure what's the difference, I guess Plexguide is a tool to install or use Plexdrive, idk). Other similar programs/tools that do mostly the same that CloudDrive or Netdrive can do. I've read how some people are using this without much of a problem, but I don't know the specificities of how they are using it, if they can watch a fhd or 4k remux on Plex with it (direct play, no transcodes) or if they have had any kind of technical problem. I've used it in my laptop for direct play and it works, though it buffers a little with 4K remuxes, not sure if it's because of my speed connection, I'm using an ethernet cable connected from my laptop to the router and from the router to my smart tv with Plex, but the laptop is not the best and it has a few years, its speed is limited to 100mbs and I doubt it really reaches it (I pay for 300mbs, it's just the laptop that has the limitation to 100mbs, but that's where I have the Plex server now), I guess a VPS or a dedicated server with 1Gbit or more would give a much better Plex performance. XD I've read that some people think that it works really well with Plex. I've read it's not available on Windows Media Server yet (maybe never?), but that you can install Windows Pro on a dedicated server (no idea how), so I guess I would have to learn how to use a dedicated server. That's why I decided to ask first, because I guess lots of people have tried every possible option and maybe you could tell me which is the best one for the best Plex performance.Ī few years ago I needed an online store and I just learned how to use a shared server to install Prestashop or Wordpress and how to use Filezilla or how to edit a style sheet to change lots of stuff in the templates I used, since then I've forgotten most of how I did it but my point is that I guess I could learn how to use Rclone or Plexdrive if I find the right tutorials and I dedicate some time to get how to use these tools with a VPS, I even learned english by myself (maybe not too well, idk, I still confuse some words sometimes XD), but I just don't want to waste time learning how to use Plexdrive when maybe I just should learn how to use Rclone, though I guess they are similar somehow, just lots of commands, when I prefer a simple GUI because it's obviously much more intuitive for a noob like me, but if for some reason the Plex performace will be much better with Rclone or Plexdrive, I'll definitely give it a try. I know most people do all of this with Rclone or Plexdrive or both, but I still have no idea about how they do it, I just checked Plexguide and a few tutorials but I don't know if I should bother to learn about how to use all of these tools or if I should just try the easier options first. ![]() I would like to learn how to use a VPS or a dedicated server to download torrents directly into my Google Drive account with encryption, not sure if this is possible with CloudDrive, Netdrive or Google File Stream, I know you can encrypt with these tools (for File Stream would be necessary an extra tool like Cryptomator or Boxcryptor or any other similar program), but I don't know if it's possible to download a torrent straight to the encrypted drive, or if there is a way to automatically download it, encrypt it and then upload it to the drive with CloudDrive/Netdrive/File Stream. I've read that Stablebit ClodDrive or Netdrive are really easy and intuitive to use, similar to Google Drive File Stream or Air Explorer, and I've seen people commenting how they use it for their Plex libraries, but I'm not sure if Rclone Cache or Plexdrive are better options for some reason, because if CloudDrive/Netdrive/File Stream are supposedly easier and less complicated to use, then I don't know why there are so many people using Rclone or Plexdrive instead. I'm an absolute noob, I've just learned how to use File Stream with Plex in my laptop, and I've watched a couple of videos about how to use Rclone Browser to upload/download/encrypt stuff, that looks very similar to using Air Explorer Pro, another tool I've used for a while for the same purposes, but I really don't know how to use Rclone with commands yet, so when I look at tutorials to use Rclone or Plexdrive with a VPS, it looks like The Matrix code to me. I've been reading about all the options to use your google drive account with Plex, but I'm still not sure of which would be the best option.
